Relections of My Life one of the greatest songs ever performed RIP Dean Ford
I love this song!
Question Mark was truly a weird dude, however every Mexican- American/ Chicano barrio had a strange dude like him.
Here because The Geator, Jerry Blavat had it on a Fourth of July show some time back (check out subsite at WXPN). Had the same understanding as most everyone here.
Richard Ramirez 😂😂😂
❤ I loved this band. They were on American Bandstand a lot
I’ll trade you 100 Taylor Swifts for a green tambourine.
poor eric🤣
One of the great One Hit Wonders of the 60's!!!🎶 Hits hard still as a retribution song💯.
Chicano love 💪💯 Texas
Michigan city Indiana stand up
Carlos Alverez - The band was from Saginaw, MI
Sounds like a song meant for the Four Tops specifically.
The World 🌎 Is A Bad Place But I Don’t Won’t To Die. All my tomorrows & so much sorrow. But you guys nailed this one out of the park. This song hits every generation and helps us to enjoy the time we share. Absolutely phenomenal piece of music. Forever ❤️
Nobody can do a drum roll like that now...
Killer song. A big hit in the 60’s. ✊🏾🇲🇽
It's true. Let God be true and every man a liar. All men , according to Jesus and the Holy Spirit, have had a homosexual experience and, are presently aroused by other men accordingly to human structures of human and manly Powers
Disregard earlier comment!
@joethomas5983 Lol, I was wondering if you meant it as reply to some comment here. There's a delete option for commenters, fyi... but I'll delete it for you, no problem.
They don’t look 100% committed, but they could be trudging through jungles in Vietnam. Tambourines and necklaces before booby traps and AK 47s.
What a70"s classic 😎✋🇬🇧
HELLO, ISAW THEM AT MADISON SQUARE GARDENS YEARS AGO . FROM JOHN IN NORTH CAROLINA .
GR came along near the end of the 60s era of message music or bubble gum, pre disco rubbish. GR came in with ballads, love songs, unique POV songs like this one and with some high-end vocals and top-notch technic in their music. Grill and Provisor provided the band with two highly rated vocalists, both capable of taking the lead in most of their songs. The band lasted thru the change of musical style of the early to mid-70s and generally were off in another direction when the disco madness hit all of us innocent bystanders. Grill should be remembered as one of the better lead singers of his era. Many of their songs became major hits on the charts. GR was generally considered a second-tier band, coming from an era where that tier produced some truly great bands covering the entire musical spectrum. Today a band like GR would be unheard of, just too much rhythm and lyrics.
@sardu55 The Grass Roots were a favorite band of many, in that time period. I didn't see them until about 1982 when they had 'regrouped' to cover all their hits. Rob Grill loved his fans and performed right up until the end, even through his painful health issues. Thanks for this great description!
Liar's always been my favorite, then everything else from them. Maybe Eli's coming at number 2.
Where's the Knighthood indeed ❤
Also if ya dig this song is so Fun on youtube 😀 you may enjoy Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band. I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and also read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on RUclips. 😀
He dances so cool! 😎❤
Denny lane ???
@@markcoluzzi5754 Denny Laine left the band in '66.
@@60s70sVintageRock I know, but some of those pics are pretty old.
@@markcoluzzi5754Old pics, but there's none with Denny in them. He was gone before Justin Hayward joined the group. Maybe you're confusing him with Mike Pinder?
Stupenda
I want to dance with you to this song.
童夢(どうむ)て、ヒット!
Great tune but they had no oomph !
Miss these shows❤
Great version and solo🤩💫
The thing that always cracked me up about this song was the specific number of tears
Vocals were recorded in a bathroom to get the effects
im 74 years old AND i remember when i was young beautiful song
I saw them live in 1970 while serving my time in the military. At least I have one good memory.
Loved this band. I wanted to always front a GR tribute band.
I got here by simply searching "?".
Awesome song!
Phil and Jim......THE ABSOLUTE BEST
The organ wash at the end is simply sublime. Nothing beats a Hammond B3 at full chat.
I'm 64 and still listening.
One of the best pop songs ever
I am 72. After all these years, this is one of the best damn songs I ever heard. Looks like the guys from CCR really liked it too. They had quite a few songs that are all time favorites. I am grateful that I grew up when this music was made. I don't think younger generations will ever experience a similar time.
As an immigrant this is even more poignant, not just leaving home but leaving your country of birth perhaps never to live close to Mum and Dad again which is sadly what happened to me. Terribly sad and really makes me miss my "Pa" who passed away a few years ago and I miss t8ime we never had together and I really miss seeing my "Ma". The words "Guess I'll have to leave some stuff behind It's funny how the same old crooked pictures Just don't seem the same to me tonight" is exactly what I experienced the night I left and makes me want to cry. Indeed the case for me was "Tomorrow I'll be in some other sunrise", sorry I had to leave mum and dad but as you know I had no choice.
These guys were from Mexico, immigrant families. Singer lived in Texas awhile, then family moved north to Michigan & work. Not too many more hits, but 96 Tears was on top for weeks. Ninety six tears blear's out of a tube radio in a 55 chevy was the life. Never knew where it came from, just it was there, when there was nothing.
Best reply ever! And that 55 Chevy. For real!
I never Cared for Jerry’s Comedy other than The Nutty Professor.
Awesome
Canada's own Murray McLaughlin wrote and released "Child's Song in 1971 on his debut album Song from the Street.
